Skinny Leg Girls in Oakland

This video has 3 out of the 4 things that currently inspire me (mentioned in the previous entry)- thick eyebrows, bright lip and Peter Pan collar. The model in this video is a beauty! Girl crush alert.

All white rooms

Besides lace, gray nail polish and Bob Dylan... lately I've felt inspired from looking at all white rooms. (Suppose it's just my aspiring interior designer side kicking in...) Just the clean crisp look of it, makes me want to completely change the look of my room. I've had white walls to begin with, but never as white as I want it now. Also had periods with pink/rose colored walls, and now my current lilac wall that I've had for about 5 years now... so I would like some kind of change!

Currently been so busy with summer school, but I already have some outfit posts set aside, some saved from months ago... just been either too busy or lazy to upload them. (I'm a terrible blogger I know!) I'll try getting to those this week.

I always blog at the most random/inconvenient time. It is 2am now; I have class at 9am; which means I need to be up by 6am.. since I commute. So I'll end this here.

Ooo wait. Had to share these lovely pics of Miranda Kerr Bloom (congrats!) <3

I love how raw & simple these pictures are. And it appears Miranda is in an all white bedroom, aka my dream room! Coincidence? I think not.. ;) The one of her in stripes is my current desktop background!

Ok now I'm really ending this. Bonne nuit!

And so it is.

Where is this love?
I can't see it. I can't touch it. I can't feel it.
I can
hear it.
I can hear some words, but I can't do anything with your
easy words.

The first time I watched the movie Closer was back in 2005 (with Mel), when I was 15. Even back then the story, acting and music caught my attention. But at that time, I was still too green to even see the true meaning behind it. I was also too young and inexperienced to even relate to any of the main characters.

Last week Mel and I re watched the film and wow..it sure made more of an impact on us. We actually understood the film a bit more. As for me, I felt I read between a lot of the scenes and caught onto more details.

I saw a lot of myself in the character of Alice (played by Natalie Portman), minus the stripper thing lol.

I felt she was the only pure character with a pure heart. She wasn't a saint by any means, but I felt most of her intentions were good.
She genuinely loved someone who ended up hurting/treating her badly.

"Why isn't love enough?" Alice says.

I especially admire what she did at the end, I felt she was the strongest character out of the 4.

Interesting that Closer was originally a play. I'd love to see that.

Speaking of Natalie, I've always been fond of her and her style.
For me, she is one of the prettiest faces in Hollywood. She DID pull off the bald look!
And she graduated from Harvard; so she has beauty AND brains.
Oh and she is a vegan! Smile Tien. ^_^

I also feel she is the only actress today who slightly resembles the lovely Audrey Hepburn.
Watch Roman Holiday, during the haircut scene.. they have similar smiles/features, though their body structures differ: Audrey being tall & thin; while Natalie is more on the short/petite side.

Natalie wearing the famous little black dress
Audrey wore in Breakfast At Tiffany's:

More proof:

Of course there is only one Audrey Hepburn; she is an original and we will never see the likes of her again.

But if they ever decide to make a biopic of her life, Natalie HAS to do it. Screw JLH! -_-

If anyone is interested, here's the haircut scene that I mentioned earlier. I'm sure you'll see some similarities. ;)

Red Tights

I've always been fond of tights, especially colored ones.

So if Blair Waldorf approves... moi aussi! :)

On Xmas Eve, I wore my own pair of red tights. Here's my own rendition of the Blair look; though I should have added a headband or curled my hair. But I wanted to keep it simple. Oh and I should've worn black pumps instead of gray. -_- Being Asian means not wearing shoes in the house, so I basically just grabbed any pair for this look lol.

-Dress: Rampage
-Tights: Forever 21
-Coat: Forever 21
-Pumps: Deena & Ozzy from Urban Outfitters
-Necklace & bracelet: Forever 21

So far I've only worn my tights once. Can't wait to try them out more and experiment with different ideas and looks.
I also want to get them in more colors. Variety!

But red I must say, screams out bold and daring.

Hello 2010!

New year. New decade. New beginning.

I hope 2010 will be kind to me & my loved ones. :)
Haven't blogged in almost a month, the holidays kept me busy. But since I'm taking the winter quarter off from school, I should have more time to update/blog. Yay.

In the meantime pics of inspiration!
