all along the terrace

Summer is coming to an end, finally. How I look forward to fall fashion. What I love about summer tho is how my "usual" outfit is so simple. No layers (unlike fall), just a dress & sandals, voila done! I'm sure a dress is everyone's go to outfit. ;) I fell in love with this dress because it reminds me of something from the 1940s-1950s. Love love love. Wore this last month to my Aunt's birthday party. Love her house up on the terrace overlooking LA. I want to go back...

Walking in LA

I love going to LA. Whenever I'm there it feels like home for some odd reason. Then again I was born in LA county (but only lived there until I was 2 years old), so I suppose I just left my heart there. But anywho, I was there last weekend for a memorial celebration for my late Uncle Lee. It seemed to be an uplifting celebration, so I didn't dress in all black.

So on that day, besides bonding with the family, meeting more extended family members and eating at Palermo's pizza, I also checked out this awesome vintage shop called Popkiller Dept.

They had great stuff, though in my opinion a tad bit overpriced, and a lot of fun/random stuff to look at (nice seeing a David Bowie poster!) besides clothes, sorta like Urban Outfitters. I was a bit bummed they had no shoes in my size. I also fell in love with this gorgeous zipper dress, I wish I had gotten it. I also wish I had more time looking around in there, because my mom dragged me out. >< Ah don't want to keep rambling, but to sum it up: I want to go back there and actually make a purchase. And to check it out if you're ever in LA. :)

Since I haven't blogged in over 10 days, I decided to add another outfit. Here's what I wore last week when I had my usual coffee date with my best friend Melanie.

Also wanted to add that in my previous entries, all pics (besides my own pics from my camera) were found on google/Flickr. So just wanted to give credit.

Can't believe it's already March. The third month. And 3 is my lucky number, so let's see what happens. :)

Geek Chic

I did a photo project for a bud Ed. Where I had to emulate a picture. I tried my best, but I was glad to help with his logo project.

^I tend to act a bit goofy in front of a camera.

I think a black blazer is an essential in every girl's wardrobe. It can be dressed up; dressed down; for a casual look or for work. The possibilities are endless!

I'm a bit late on this, though I did tweet about it on the actual day, but again RIP Alexander McQueen. So young and talented. What a loss to the fashion industry, you will be missed. :(

Red Tights

I've always been fond of tights, especially colored ones.

So if Blair Waldorf approves... moi aussi! :)

On Xmas Eve, I wore my own pair of red tights. Here's my own rendition of the Blair look; though I should have added a headband or curled my hair. But I wanted to keep it simple. Oh and I should've worn black pumps instead of gray. -_- Being Asian means not wearing shoes in the house, so I basically just grabbed any pair for this look lol.

-Dress: Rampage
-Tights: Forever 21
-Coat: Forever 21
-Pumps: Deena & Ozzy from Urban Outfitters
-Necklace & bracelet: Forever 21

So far I've only worn my tights once. Can't wait to try them out more and experiment with different ideas and looks.
I also want to get them in more colors. Variety!

But red I must say, screams out bold and daring.
