Who cares if I posted these before...?

On my old laptop

which I suppose made me think of this little old blog of mine? Since plenty of "pics I find inspiring to blog" folders lay within here. So this blog is just one of the many ruts currently in my life. I never quite know what to do with it. To keep or delete or abandon for good? Maybe blogging isn't for me? Maybe the original reason I wanted to start this blog has lost its appeal? Most other fashion blogs I stumble upon these days are very generic, forgettable and blah. Which is why I usually only care for the "pioneers". Though I am sure most people might feel the same way if they were to find my blog. Then again my blog doesn't even look all that fashion anymore. Just a big mess; kinda like my brain (and room). Has some fashion, mixed in with words, words, words, and whatever. Haha or I could use this blog as an outlet for writing. Come to think of it, during my childhood I wanted to be a writer. I want to venture into the world of journalism. Maybe this could be practice? And I could eventually tie in fashion? And it will all come to full circle, YAY!

Just another blog post, where I pretty much type whatever random thing comes to mind. My neck hurts. Just finished watered down coffee. Going to wash it down with water. Wearing an LBD. Word vomit. Hyper verbal. Fin.

for all the changes...the revamping...the much needed makeover....that should take place soon. And YES this is relevant to my blog. Big time!

Life Is A Joke

Watching Zoe Kravitz photo-shoots seem to leave me in a pleasant mood, not to mention inspired. She's definitely on my list of girl/style crushes; want to raid her closet and did I mention she's dating Penn Badgley?! (my biggest fancy at the moment, minus my usual all time favorites) Her dating resume is quite impressive since it consists of very attractive (white) men. Can't say I blame them, the lass is striking after all.

Why hello 2012!

Before the new year started I had to "freshen" up: meaning I redid my ombre, which I am definitely more pleased with the second time around; also got a well needed facial and massage; and on top of that, a new phone! (Which was basically a 'gift' from actor Sam Milby! But I'll go in depth with that another time!) Another new thing happened, something extremely unexpected that I NEVER saw coming...but it did. That's life for you. Just hoping the eventual outcome of 'it' will be positive.
Basically lots of new-ness! And I suppose the reason why I am rambling about all this NEW stuff is because yet again I am REALLY considering changing my blog name! I said previously that my blog name sometimes reflects a specific stage or phase in my life and I feel another one has ended, so I'd like to change it. Already have something in mind, just really need help with spicing up my layout! Anything generic and or mediocre is not for me. ;)


Instead of listing down my resolutions, I'll just summarize some goals for 2012 + beyond:

~Have more productive days and less leisure time.
~Take action. Keep moving. Don't waste time.
~Live and lead a healthier lifestyle. (Eat right + exercise consistently) What you put inside your body does reflect what's on the outside. (ie: BETTER skin! Something I've been striving for since forever!)
~Fix my body clock/sleeping schedule/whatever you want to call it. I basically want to sleep at normal hours, wake up before noon even on weekends and not be known as the insomniac night owl any longer.
~Take more pictures! Actually USE my DSLR!
~Read more. Been buying books but haven't been touching them. :|
~Get more organized!
~Fix and give my room a makeover. 2011 = the year my room has been at its messiest. Something I'm not proud of and sorta shocked I got away with considering how my mom is...
~And lastly always be positive and don't sweat the small stuff! Anything I encounter that's negative (from a situation or person) I shall avoid and will remove from my life.

PS: A goal of mine is to definitely give my layout a complete makeover! My friend Mary has an idea for my header, so I'm excited to see her vision. Would be nice to have a more "serious"/"mature" looking layout. My current one looks like a (sad) joke compared to most....

Thankful

I'm wide awake thanks to late night caffeine yet again. Thanksgiving just passed so I thought I'd share what I'm thankful for: being alive and healthy, for my parents, my real friends and hmm guess that's all. Those are the things that actually matter, BUT I am thankful for my Blackberry, Sephora, Anything related to fashion, Gossip Girl writers for giving us awesome Dair scenes this past year and Target for giving me a place to roam whenever I am bored. Guess I'm high off life and coffee since I am writing such a silly entry! I am also thankful that one of my personal problems has finally ended in a way/got resolved/things came to full circle, etc. So that's a huge weight off my back and heart. I am definitely in a more cheery mood but not completely. Just happy to face the approaching new year with one less of a problem.




I always read this whenever I feel sorta "low". It seems to help.

Back to the grind

After a mini hiatus and just plain avoiding blogger in general, I feel inspired to blog again. :)
Not going to promise anything, or mention ideas for future posts. (Whenever I do, it sadly fails. All the time.) I'll treat this blog the way I handle life; just go with the flow of things, take it slow and do things organically.


In the meantime, behold my current obsession. For once I'm crushing on a guy close to my age...

Red skinnies/shorts is always pleasing to the eye. I'm a fan of simple/basic outfits that look even better with a pop of color. Never fails.





These last two outfits are the epitome of key go-to-pieces. A v-neck striped top is eternally a classic and loving the wide leg jean over the usual skinny.
The last picture makes me want to pull out my old denim jacket, which has been hibernating in my closet for years. Or perhaps I'll get a new one. :) The model also inspires me to wear my hair out naturally more often. Which I almost never do. Ever. And yes my hairs gets that big and frizzy.

Not sure if the pattern was obvious, but I'm currently obsessed with ombre color + blunt bangs. Which is what I did to my hair for the summer, except the length of mine is more like Zoe's. Can't wait for my hair to get longer!! I could always try extensions (I have fake hair stowed away in my closet for the past 4 years, but was always chicken to 'go for it') but I'd probably have to dye them... so that would be a hassle in itself. So I'll just wait, my hair grows pretty quickly anyways. Having fun with my hair so far, pretty content that I did something different with it. Might as well experiment like crazy while you're still young right? ;)

Better late than never, but took these pictures last month when we (my dad and I) took my mom out for Mother's Day. Ate at Manila Sunset and went shopping after wards. Same day I got my new concealer, which I love (HG status). Lately anything striped and semi nautical catches my eye immensely. The wedding I blogged about months ago took place last weekend, so I'll post pictures from that next time, and why an LBD always wins.
